New river state park
New River State Park's 2,200 acres of land surrounds one of the oldest rivers in the the world, the New River. This beautiful park can fill your day of fun with many activities including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking, camping, picnicking, and educational events. The park boasts 4 different access points into the New River for canoeing and kayaking and has several suggested tracks of different lengths. Anglers of all ages can enjoy fishing on the south and north forks of the New River for smallmouth and redeye bass. Many tributaries are also designated trout waters, and the south fork is stocked with the elusive muskellunge. Three unique campsites on 750 acres of land provide an excelling camping experience for the whole family.
